This group is very different from most Gather groups. Usually you write an article and post it to as many groups as you possibly can in the hopes of earning a few points. Along the way you connect with people who are attracted to your articles.
This group works in the exact opposite way. Articles posted to this group are meant for this group's members only. They should never be posted to any other group. Articles posted here are part of a conversation with the members of this group -- a group of up to 20 Gather members who share your interests.
What is this group interested in? It's easier to start with what we aren't interested in. We don't like messages that are simply copied and pasted from e-mails or websites or books. We want to know YOU, not the author who was copied. We aren't interested in games, quizzes, recipes, poems (unless they come up from the conversation we are having), or other random posts that tell us nothing about you or who you are.
Now you are probably starting to get an idea of what interests us. We want to know you. We want to hear about things you are reading and why they interest you. We want to know what topics pique your interest. We want to know the values you live by, the conundrums you face, the questions you have about living an authentic life.
We aren't as dry a group as this may sound. We have a lot of fun! The focus is just shifted to topics with more meat -- something that is interesting to discuss.
If there is enough interest in this type of group, I will create regional groups where people can opt to meet in person.
To become a member of this main group or future regional groups, you must first answer the following questions. Send your answers to the group owner -- Shari V. She will contact you to let you know if there's space for you and will tell you if any regional groups are available in your area. Once it is decided which group you want to be a part of -- the main group or a regional group -- your answers to these questions will be posted to the group as an introduction. And...off you go...meeting and chatting and getting to know the other members of the group.
